Reviewing the Year of the Horse and Looking Forward to the Year of the Ram

By NuHerbs Staff

Thank you for making the Year of the Horse a wonderful year. 2014 was a big year for nuherbs Company as we settled into our new facility in San Leandro, California after being in our Oakland, California warehouse for more than 20 years. As part of our commitment to eco-friendly practices, we installed a renewable cooling roof. This process was done by applying a highly reflective layer of materials onto the existing roof, thus, saving it from being torn down and discarded in the landfill. Combined with a natural cooling system, our products have a cool and well-ventilated storage environment throughout the year.

In addition to making improvements to the facilities, we also spent 2014 developing a variety of new systems that will allow us to better serve you. Within the next several months, we will implement a new inventory system that will allow us faster access to customer records, real time inventory, real time traceability, and many new features that will improve your experience. Currently, we are running both the new and old system in parallel to ensure a smooth transition.

Once the migration to the new inventory system is complete, we will launch a new website to enhance the customer experience. Some of the new features include more product content (pictures, ingredients, etc.), enhanced searchability for ease of finding products, and tracking numbers for shipped packages. We will be sending out a survey to those who use our online ordering system to see what additional features you would like to add to further enrich your shopping experience. Your input and feedback will be highly appreciated.

As nuherbs Company has grown, you have observed our continuously expanding catalog of organic herbs and lab tested herbs. As part of our continued efforts to contribute to the sustainability of the herbs that we all love, our company has teamed up with FairWild to explore ways to encourage sustainable, wild harvesting of herbs in China. The FairWild certification is currently not available in China, but work on getting it approved is under way. Your continual support of our mission to provide the best Chinese herbs has allowed us to support and become a friend of FairWild. To learn more, please visit www.fairwild.org.

In 2015, we hope to find more ways to provide you with the best Chinese herbal products while supporting sustainability and educational efforts. If you feel there are any products we should carry, services we should offer, projects such as FairWild that we should learn more about, or educational events that we could support, please send your suggestions via email Wilson Lau at wilson@nuherbs.com.

As we exit the Year of the Horse and enter into the Year of the Goat, may the New Year bring you the best of luck, health, and prosperity. We look forward to continuing to serve and support you in your mission to bring health to others.
